Parish Communion or Morning Praise or an alternative service
Visitors are warmly welcomed at all services. We have more traditional as well as more informal worship, but believe you can encounter the presence of God whichever service you attend. The 8am service is the old service from the Book of Common Prayer with a short homile. There are no hymns during this service. It is a short service lasting about 30 to 40 minutes at the most.
The church doors are always open through daylight hours - when you can come and visit, enjoy looking around or come and absorb the stillness and quietness of this sacred space. During the week you may be treated to one of our four organists playing the organ.
St Luke's is a warm, welcoming church family.

Unfortunately during these Covid times it hasn't been feasible or possible to serve refreshments after the 10.00 am service but we still share news, items for prayer, have feedback from the sermon, spread a little joy and happiness as well as some deep listening to those in need.
Hopefully we will be back with refeshments at some point. The restrictions are lifing some what and we are making progress in the way we manage the services.

WEEKDAY SERVICES
Wednesdays 9.30 am- Morning Communion Service.
The week day Holy Communion service has changed the time due to the Guild needing to set up for their regular meetings in church. If you want to know more about the changes contact Heather Buckley 01477532619 or Roger Burgess 01477535443.
The Wednesday morning service is a more informal service when a few folk meet and share faith and fellowship together. The theme depends on the season of the church and the news in the village and in the country. Requests for prayer are taken and we pray for individuals and situations. There is a time of reflection and space. Often people leave feeling refreshed and empowered for the rest of the week.

FAMILY SERVICES
2nd Sunday - Family Service at St Luke's - an all-age child-friendly service known as Second Sunday.
This is an informal service with more modern music, involvement and participation, maybe discussion or drama, use of the overhead projector and videos, interviews and sometimes crafts. A good way to explore faith and encounters with God and what that means.

3rd Sunday -
Not specifically a family service but children are always welcome to join the craft table at the back of church
(they produce some beautiful crafts to show us, often towards the end of the service)

4th Sunday -  is normally a Morning Prayer Service.

If there is a 5th Sunday in the month it can be a Songs of Praise, a Morning Praise or a Holy Communion depending on what has been happening during the month.

All services now include singing and have done for some considerable time.
Come and join us and join in if you wish.
4pm Cafe Church - food, fun, music, testimony and fellowship in a
relaxed setting in the Old School Hall
This service is cutrrently on hold during the Covid restrictions.
We are considering other forms of outreach during the spring months.
JAM - JESUS AND ME is our youngesters group returning on the first Sunday in the month. They meet in the old School Hall where they may enjoy, a song, a story, an activity and a prayer and will be joining us for the end of the service.
From time to time we have Choral Evensong on a Sunday at 4pm when we enjoy the musical contribution of visiting choirs.

For more information about any of these services please contact Rev'd Heather Buckley 01477532619
